It is obvious that everybody wants to be successful. Actually, if
you ask anyone what they want in life, the likely answer that you will
get is that they want to be very successful. It is like a drive and
motivation factor that make people work hard and do anything that they
do to the best of their ability. How you work will determine very much
how successful you are going to be. If you work smart, you will achieve
success, if you do not do that then chances are high that you are bound
for failure.
However, when chasing after success, there are fundamental questions that we do not ask ourselves. The first question is if success is always obvious. The answer to this is a straight no. There are people that work hard in whatever they do but they still do not achieve success. This can make someone question whether hard work pays. Working hard does not always mean success. This is one thing that should be kept in mind. The other question that people should ask is whether success is always sexy. The answer to this is also no.
The first time you hit your success point it might seem sexy but as time goes by, reality checks in. Success comes along with other hindrances that are not sexy in anyway. It is up to the person to have control on how they view it. The last question that is important is if success is popular. The answer still remains to be no. It is not all times that success is popular. If you succeed today it does not mean that there will be much popularity increase due to your successful nature. There is popularity that comes with success depending on the field that you ventured in. therefore, we can say that sometimes depending on the situation, then there is popularity.
People should understand that anything that produces results is not usually obvious, sexy or common. The things that will help you get what you always wanted in life are sometimes hidden underneath the layers of lies that are accepted, uncommon sense and our fears. If you determine some of these things then you are on the way to success. People find themselves avoiding things that may make them successful due to fear of failure. There are people that do not chase after their dreams because they believe that they cannot make it or somebody somewhere told them that they are failures. Success goes beyond and against popular beliefs and opinions of people.

He or she may gain popularity because of showing the people the negative things that are occurring which in the long run might hinder people from investing. Such a journalist should also indulge in reporting positive things like business and people that are succeeding in order to encourage people. Therefore, when going after success and you do not seem to get what you want, question all your assumptions and look for new methods of achieving it. Risk taking is one of the main roads to success.
